Whanau Hobson enjoyed learning about past and current practices at the Auckland Zoo on Friday 16 June.

There have been significant improvements for animals in captivity. Today the enclosures are larger and animals have 'gourmet food'. No longer do we see chimps having tea parties. We also viewed operating theatres and saw first hand, x-rays of turtles with sand and plastic bags inside of them.
