PCT Challenge

Four Year 7 students competed in the Auckland Police Bluelight PCT challenge. The challenge was to complete the Physical Competency Test that the Police have to complete every two years.

Our students along with other intermediate schools had to complete the course as a team, in the fastest time possible.

The challenge included lots of tasks that the Police might have to do in their job, such as sprinting, jumping through windows, climbing fences, balancing on fences, dragging bodies to safety, crawling under barriers, pushing trailers and a police car.

Our school came third out of the South Eastern schools, with a very respectable time of 2 minutes 57.51 seconds.

The four fantastic students who represented our school were Kaley Rawlinson, Mitchell Borchard, Paige Jelavich-Taumata, Lazarus Papali'i.

The students had a 'fun time' ending the day with a sausage sizzle where they were able to connect with the students from other schools and the Police team.

We are looking forward to returning next year with a great strategy for selecting and training the new team.
